| An easy going walk across farmland and through woodland, with a chance to see orchids in the coppiced woodland and an ancient yew tree at Eastling church. You will pass an old wind turbine and some interesting farm houses on the way to Stalisfield Green nestling on the crest of the downs. On your return you pass through three interesting country estates, Otterden, Doddington and Sharsted. With two excellent country pubs on the route, this is a walk for a bright day in spring, summer or autumn. |
