The George Inn A lovely country pub built in 1540. Originally a farm dwelling, part of the estate of Thomas Hart, "Gentleman, of Faversham", it became a coaching inn in the 18th century and registered as The George in honour of King George Ist. The pub was purchased by the Shepherd Brewery of Faversham in 1887. With three inglenook fireplaces, the pub has a wealth of character with many old beams. The beautiful beer garden is used annually for the village fete. Tel: - 01795 890237 |
