Boyden Gate to Sarre
via the Saxon Shore Way and Wansum walk
Out of the Gate Inn -> left to road junction -> turn right (sign post Marshside) -> pass the Old bakery -> at telephone box -> (Saxon Shore Way sign post) take path on left next to telegraph pole -> over stile -> follow enclosed path -> over stile into field -> over two more stiles -> straight on with hedge on your right -> pass Home Farm(converted thatched barns) -> at end of hedge straight on following enclosed path to opposite hedge ->

with hedge on your right continue straight on -> at electricity pole -> ahead between fence and hedge->cross foot bridge ->turn left -> along enclosed path to road and Peggoty cottage -> at road turn right -> follow road to T junction of Chapel Lane ->straight over road to brick built bridge -> follow track ahead -> to 90 degree right hand bend -> after bend continue ahead along a grassy track with ditch to your left ->

at steel gates -> (sign post permissive path) -> go through gates -> turn right -> (Sarre mill in the distance) follow path with ditch on your right -> (do not cross 1st or 2nd foot bridge) after 2nd foot bridge, about 45 paces with hedge on left -> turn left -> follow the hedge line to a concrete track -> follow concrete track -> pass a reservoir (raised banks) on your left -> follow track right then left to Belle Isle-> at front of house -> turn right following Public Bridle way sign ->

pass a block built pump house -> keep tree lined hedge and stream on your right ->(Sarre mill dead ahead) -> pass Down Barton farm -> to right of chain link fence-> (old and stored caravans on the left) at end of fence turn left then right over concrete bridge -> cross hard track -> ahead onto on grass track -> keep tree lined hedge on your right -> continue following track ->

look out for old steel kissing gate in hedge on right (tarmac path) -> through gate -> follow enclosed path -> when path emerges into field (full view of Sarre mill) -> continue following path across field into Sarre village -> at road turn right -> pass Kings Head pub -> right into Old road -> : End
