Village Information

The TV series `The Darling Buds of May` was filmed in and around the village.
It is supposed to be the most haunted village in England, with twelve ghosts in nine different forms. Like other ghost stories this one is also a bit hazy!

The Black Horse has been a pub for 150 yrs but actually dates back to 1470 when it was a moated farmhouse.

The village is also noted for the `Dering` arched windows which can be seen in the pub and the older cottage buildings. They date from the 19th century and were considered to be `lucky` by the landowner of that time.
Information about the Pub opening times, menu and beverages, can be found in
the CAMRA guide to Kent pubs
