continue on path across field to enclosed path [=] follow path to road [=] cross road into St. Nicholas churchyard [=] follow path to lychgate [=] through gate down to road. (Front street) turn left [=] follow road to Five Bells PH [=] cross main road to lane [=] pass Abbotts House [=] follow lane passing `Popples Farm`[=] continue ahead to junction of paths (before embankment. `The Lynch`) [=] turn left following bridlepath [=] at next junction continue ahead uphill on footpath [=] follow path to track/driveway [=] cross to footpath [=] ahead, following path with hedge on your left [=]

at edge of wood, (National Trust sign, `Kingsdown Wood`) [=] turn left into wood [=] follow path [=] at first junction turn left [=] follow path curving to right until next National Trust sign [=] turn right on woodland path [=] follow path through wood [=] at corner emerge onto field [=] ahead following edge of field to gap in hedge [=] through gap [=] turn left [=] follow path (approx 50 paces) to first junction [=] turn right on enclosed path with gardens either side [=] emerge onto field [=] head across field to end of hedge [=] continue on grass path with hedge on left [=] then under telephone wires [=]

hedge on right [=] path becomes enclosed , then emerges into field [=] ahead, cross field to track [=] turn right [=] follow track uphill [=] at top take path (approx 135 degrees) left [=] follow path to St.Margarets Freedown [=] pass National Trust sign "Bockhill Farm" [=] follow path to right (Dover Patrol Memorial in distance) [=] continue ahead [=] (views of the Channel, France too, hopefully on a clear day) across fields [=] path becomes enclosed track [=] continue ahead following track [=] where track bends right into Bockhill Farmyard [=] turn left onto footpath [=] follow path (hedge on right) uphill to footpath sign [=] turn right to Dover Patrol Memorial and café.
